Rob welcomes fall in unemployment

Rob today welcomed the news that unemployment in the UK fell by 45,000 in the first three months of this year.  This is an unemployment rate of 8.2% according to the figures released today by the Office for National Statistics. Employment also rose. More locally, the number of unemployed claimants in Reading East in April 2012 was 2,147. This represents a rate of 3.8% of the economically active population aged 16 to 64.
