Rob praised local residents’ work to save the Potter Flower Bee - the area’s ‘iconic’ bee
To celebrate the launch of Carers Week, 10-16 June 2013, local MP, Rob has joined forces with actress Lynda Bellingham, to recognise the contribution that carers in Reading East make on a daily basis.
Rob Wilson for Reading East, is backing The National Autistic Society’s (NAS) new campaign aimed at improving support for adults with autism in Reading East and across England.
Whilst the media reports hype up splits and differences at Government level, it is sometimes easy to lose sight of all the excellent work that is going on which is already making a huge difference to people within local communities – not least in my Reading East constituency.

The arrests of Jimmy Tarbuck and Stuart Hall have thrown up an interesting and difficult debate, that I have been engaged in this week, about whether the Police should always tell the public when they arrest somebody.
Rob joined members of the local Sikh community to celevrate Vaisakhi. The procession was part of a wider celebration celebration that took place between the Siri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara and the Ramgarhia Sabha Reading Gurdwara.
The River Spice in Reading East has been nominated by Rob to take part in the prestigious Tiffin Cup competition to find the best South Asian Restaurant in the country.
On Friday 26th April Rob joined Loungers, the food and drink operator behind Alto Lounge in Caversham, to open The Bosco Lounge in Woodley town centre - just in time for the bank-holiday weekend.
Rob is calling on parents across Reading East to check for warning signs of possible heart problems experienced by their children and follow life-saving guidance issued by the UK’s leading children’s heart charity.
